Donation Point Tap strives to strike a balance between accessibility for the visually impaired and smart features for able-bodied people.
Prompts and instructions on the display are high contrast (white on black) to aid those with low vision.
Card / Device acceptance is simplified by use of a large contactless Tap zone, located intuitively on the full face of the terminal’s display (not a small zone on the side, back, or top).
Merchant obligation: It is common practice and expected that a merchant should assist a person with an impairment. This may include amount selection, card presentation, receipt giving etc. Under no circumstances should a merchant ever request that a PIN be divulged for any reason.
